Inspired by water lilies, this work reflects on the unseen effort behind growth
and achievement. While only the floating leaves are visible on the surface,
an extensive network of roots and stems lies beneath the water, reaching
towards light. The golden forms celebrate the value of this hidden journey,
while the mirrored composition echoes the relationship between what is seen
and what remains unseen.
What first appeared to be a weathered rock was, in
fact, an exposed section of root and trunk resting on
the forest floor. Though separated from the tree, it
remained a living structure, supporting new growth
and creating space for other forms of life. The work
celebrates nature’s resilience and its remarkable
ability to generate new beginnings from what appears
abandoned or broken
Inspired by traditional house signs decorated with animals, plants, and local
motifs, this work celebrates the stories, identities, and cultural narratives
embedded within everyday objects.
Inspired by the evolving textures of tree bark, this work reveals forms that
resemble waves, currents, and the movement of life beneath the ocean’s
surface. It reflects an ongoing fascination with nature’s recurring patterns
and the unexpected connections that emerge between seemingly unrelated
landscapes.
