Artist Statement

My work is an exploration of the invisible relationship between nature, space, memory, and human emotion.
I see art as a way of revealing what often goes unnoticed the quiet moments, hidden energies, and subtle transformations that shape our experience of the world. Through painting, I seek to create spaces that invite contemplation rather than explanation, allowing each viewer to form a personal connection with the work.
Coming from a background in architecture, I naturally think in terms of space, light, rhythm, and atmosphere. This perspective influences every piece I create, where composition becomes more than an image; it becomes an environment that can be felt as much as it is seen.
My practice spans traditional oil painting, digital art, and an ongoing exploration of immersive experiences. I am interested in dissolving the boundaries between physical and digital media, with the long-term ambition of creating interactive installations where art, architecture, technology, and human presence become part of a single evolving experience.
Nature remains at the heart of my work not simply as a subject, but as a language. Mist, light, shadow, organic forms, and the quiet intelligence of natural systems continually inspire my visual vocabulary. Rather than reproducing nature, I seek to translate its emotional and psychological presence.
Ultimately, my work is an invitation to slow down, observe, and rediscover the unseen connections between ourselves, our environment, and the spaces we inhabit.

My Studio

My studio is a space for observation, experimentation and making. It is where painting, photography, material studies and digital processes begin to intersect.

Ideas often develop through fragments , a natural form, a texture, a photograph, a sketch or an unexpected spatial relationship, before evolving across physical and digital media. The studio becomes a place where these discoveries are tested, transformed and gradually developed into a wider visual language.

Soha K. Poul is a British-Iranian architect and contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional relationship between nature, memory, space, and human perception.

With a professional background in architecture, her artistic practice combines fine art, spatial thinking, and digital experimentation to create immersive visual narratives. Her paintings are inspired by natural forms, light, texture, and the quiet transformations found in the world around us, inviting viewers to experience emotion beyond representation.

Working across oil painting, digital art, and emerging technologies, Soha aims to bridge the boundaries between art, architecture, and interactive experiences. Her long-term vision is to create large-scale immersive installations where physical space, movement, and visual storytelling become a single artistic language.

Alongside her artistic practice, Soha is a Chartered Architect in the United Kingdom. This architectural foundation continues to influence her compositions, creating works that balance structure with imagination and precision with emotion.

Her work represents an ongoing exploration of atmosphere, perception, and the invisible connections between people, nature, and space.

Soha K. Poul has presented her work through a number of exhibitions in Iran, alongside private exhibitions and presentations in Birmingham, United Kingdom. These early presentations have formed part of the continuing development of her artistic practice, bringing together works across painting and mixed media.

Architecture is not separate from my artistic practice; it shapes the way I see.

My architectural background has trained me to think through space, proportion, material, light and human movement. These principles continually enter my artwork, whether through the composition of a painting, the transformation of natural forms, or the development of digital environments.

I am particularly interested in what happens when an artwork moves beyond the surface and begins to occupy space. This intersection forms an evolving part of my practice: exploring how painting, sculpture, digital media and architecture can become components of a single experience.
